When Baby Yoda was born, the NHL wanted to play a game to celebrate

A baby squishmallows made their debut in the NHL game between the New York Islanders and Washington Capitals on Tuesday.

The NHL announced the game in a news release.

It’s not a hockey game, but the Islanders and Capitals are making an appearance for a special event called “Baby Squishmills.”

They were introduced by NHL Chief Operating Officer Jim Benning.

The Islanders won in six games.

The Capitals beat the Islanders, 5-2, in Game 6.

The squishmunchers have since become a favorite with Islanders fans.

The game will be played at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
