Scraping babies’ newborn wipes could be banned in Italy if the new law goes ahead.
The new law would see any baby wipes containing human milk, urine, feces or blood thrown away if they’re not found in the mother’s home within 48 hours.
The legislation is now expected to be introduced into the lower house of the Italian parliament before being put to a vote in the lower chamber.
A baby’s birth certificate and other personal documents would also be confiscated.
The measure was introduced by the Socialist opposition in the senate.
