Baby boy born at a nursing home in South Australian town of Boonawah has died.
The baby was born on March 18.
It is believed the child died at his care home on Friday morning after being in labour for about a month.
The Boonagh nursing home has been closed for the night.
A local resident who wished to remain anonymous said the boy was being cared for by the carers of his father.
“He was very sick and he was very dehydrated and was very thin and the baby was just too small,” the resident said.
Local residents say the boy died at the care home after he was born.
On Saturday, Boonayah Health said the baby died of dehydration and that there was no other information available.
